Shipping Policy

Where We Ship

We ship Australia-wide for hardware, accessories, flasks and non-plant items.

We ship live plants to Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria and South Australia.

We are currently unable to ship to Western Australia, NT or Tasmania due to strict state and territory quarantine inspection requirements. We are undertaking BioSecure HACCP certification that will enable us to ship to these states once completed. Possible completion date October 2026.

We do not offer international shipping.

How Shipping Costs Are Calculated

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on the weight of your order and your delivery postcode. Costs start from approximately $18.00 and vary depending on destination and whether you select Parcel Post or Express Post. The exact cost will be shown before you complete your order.

Our Monday Dispatch Schedule

All orders are dispatched on Monday mornings. We dispatch on Mondays specifically so that your order travels through the Australia Post network within a single working week in most cases, minimising the chance of parcels sitting in a depot over a weekend. This gives your plants the best possible chance of arriving in excellent condition.

If Monday falls on a public holiday, orders will be dispatched on Tuesday instead.

Australia Post collects from our nursery at 1:00pm Monday. Orders must be placed by 6:00am Monday to be included in that week's dispatch. Orders placed after 6:00am Monday will be dispatched the following Monday.

Although orchids are generally hardy travellers and can generally tolerate up to two weeks in transit, we dispatch on Mondays to give every order the best possible start.

Delivery Timeframes

Once dispatched, estimated delivery times with Australia Post are:

  • Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra, Melbourne: 2-3 business days
  • Other cities and regional areas: 2-5 business days
  • Remote and rural locations: allow additional time

These are Australia Post estimates and are not guaranteed. For time-sensitive deliveries, we recommend selecting Express Post at checkout.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been packed and dispatched, you will receive an automated email confirming your order details and providing your Australia Post tracking information. This email is sent Monday afternoon following dispatch.

Signature on Delivery

Most orders are sent with Signature on Delivery, which means someone will need to be home to sign for the parcel, or it may be taken to your nearest post office for collection. We do not offer Authority to Leave as a standard option. However, customers can choose to have no signature on delivery at their own risk. A note can be left on the order during the checkout process.

In some cases Australia Post may elect to leave a parcel without obtaining a signature. Where this occurs, the delivery will be considered complete.

Packaging

We take packing seriously because it directly impacts how well your plants arrive. Over the past 10 years, we've refined our methods to ensure each order is packed securely using materials that protect plants in transit and minimise stress. A contribution toward these materials is included in your shipping cost.
