Tillandsia baileyi var Halley's Comet has long, thin, silver leaves which protrude from a bulbous base. The leaves are sliver due to the large amount of Trichomes on their surface. Tillandsia baileyi var Halley's Comet air plant is a cultivar of Tillandsia Baileyi, which is native to Texas, Mexico and Guatemala - growing at altitudes of 900 - 1200m. Tillandsia baileyi var Halley's Comet is a vigorous grower with a purple staymen and yellow style. Tillandsia baileyi var Halley's Comet will grow in large clumps and produces offset from the inflorenscence.
