The Tacca chantrieri (Green Bat Flower) is a rare variant of the traditional Black Bat Flower that produces brilliant, electric-green wing-like bracts and cascading whiskers instead of dark purple-black blooms.

Key Characteristics

Blooms: Instead of gothic dark colors, it features bright green architectural bracts surrounding a cluster of small true flowers in the center.
Foliage: Large, glossy, dark green, and tropical leaves with a clumping growth habit (typically reaching 50–100 cm tall).
Origin/Rarity: A specialty form found in select collections, distinct from the standard Southeast Asian Tacca chantrieri.

Care Requirements

Light: Bright, indirect light or dappled shade; direct sunlight will scorch the leaves.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist, but never waterlogged or soggy.
