Horticultural charcoal is a beneficial additive for orchid growing media. It helps improve drainage, reduce compaction, and absorb impurities and excess salts from the root zone. Charcoal also has mild antifungal properties that can help keep roots healthy.
Mix through your bark, perlite, or other growing media at approximately 10–20% by volume. Suitable for use with cattleyas, dendrobiums, and most other epiphytic orchids.
