Bulbophyllum longissimum is found in Thailand, Myanmar, Borneo and Malaysia at lower elevations as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with conical, sheathed pseudobulbs carrying a solitary, apical, oblong, coriaceous, subsessile leaf that blooms in the spring on a erect or pendant, 20 cm long inflorescence from which arises a 5 to 10 flowered, apical umbel of short-lived, fragrant flowers.
