Bulbophyllum levatii is found in New Guinea, Solomon and Vanuatu Islands in montane forests on trees at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with 1.4 to 7 cm between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, obtuse to acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring through fall on an erect to pendulous, 6 to 35 cm long, 4 to 55 flowered inflorescence with 4 to 6 bracts and triangular, acute to acuminate floral bracts.
