Bulbophyllum crassipes Flask

Bulbophyllum crassipes is found in Assam, eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, India, Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam in evergreen broad leaved forests on tree trunks at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with conical, smooth pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical oblong, obtuse, or shortly mucronate, petiolate and thickly coriaceous leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 15 to 20 cm long inflorescence enveloped with oblong floral bracts and many sour smelling flowers held next to the pseudobulb, needing partial shade and regular waterings.The plant will be shipped bare rooted with the roots wrapped in sphagnum moss.
