Aerides falcata

Aerides falcata is found in the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam occuring in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests at elevations of sealevel to 700 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing, monopodial epiphyte that has an erect stem carrying oblong-ligulate, rigid, thick, coriaceous, somewhat glaucous on top, streaked dark green with red beneath leaves and blooms on a 50 cm long, lossely or densly flowered, pendant inflorescence with a few to many [30] fragrant citrus scented, waxy flowers occuring in the spring and summer.
