Dendrobium crumenatum

Dendrobium crumenatum species orchid is commonly referred to as the pigeon orchid. Dendrobium crumenatum has a wide distribution being native to Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka, Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, Sulawesi, Sumatra, New Guinea, Christmas Islands, Guam and the Philippines.

Due to the wide distribution of Dendrobium crumenatum, this species orchid plant has become very hardy and is therefore easy to grow. 

The flowers on the Dendrobium crumenatum are beautifully fragrant, however make sure you take the time to enjoy them as they only last for a day! Larger plants can flower several times in a season, so when they are established, you will see flowers for more than just 1 day a year.
