Tillandsia ionantha x baileyi Mounted Air Plant a hybrid of the T. ionantha and baileyi. This Mexican species looks more similar to the ionantha than the baileyi in terms of structure; its leaves grow upright but start to extend out at the ends. From the base, the plant is silvery pale green in color, but fades into a darker green at the tip of each leaf blade. The inflorescence emerges from the plant’s center, and it can be various shades of red with vibrantly colored purple flowers.
