Tillandsia pruinosa is a stemless native species air plant that is found in from Florida to South America, Ecuador to Brazil. Found in theses locations from just above sea level to 1200 meters the Tillandsia pruinosa is a versatile plant. Tillandsia pruinosa leaf colour is normally dark green and is covered with course trichomes that can give a frosted appearance. The Tillandsia pruinosa air plant has a short, squat inflorescence which is pink in colour. The inflorescence on the Tillandsia pruinosa produces small tubular purple flowers.
