Vanda tessellata 'alba' is found in the Chinese Himalayas, Assam India, Bangladesh, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, western Himalayas and Myanmar at elevations around 1500 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing epiphyte with a climbing stem carrying linear, narrow, conduplicate, tridentate apically leaves that blooms in the summer, fall and early winter on a sub-erect, 15 to 50 cm long inflorescence carrying 5 to 12, fragrant cream to white scented, long-lived flowers.
